As the United States continues to crumble under the pressure of Marxism and Socialism, what are you doing to stem the tide of lies? Many of us who are law-abiding citizens stand in disbelief watching our precious Nation stumble and fall, relying on leadership from the far left to lead the country. I have to admit that I am embarrassed by our current government at the Federal level, by the lack integrity, honesty, and truthfulness, and in general lying to the American people. Look at our borders, look at the crises in Cuba, look at the violence in our cities, and look at the corruption in government. Freedom of speech is under siege like never before from the government and big tech, this is astonishing. Who would have ever thought that all this could take place, and all at once? It is very saddening to see people defending the far left, defending communism and socialism, and willing to kill to get what they want. Can you believe this is America today? The land of the free and the home of the brave? Maybe it should be called the land of the oppressed, and the home of the weak. What has happened to all of us? What has happened to the truth? What has happened to America being the greatest nation on earth, leading in freedom, and being the bastion of truth?

Well, I believe it is because we have strayed too far from the truth that this nation was founded on.

Thomas Jefferson wrote “Man has been subjected by his Creator to the moral law, of which his feelings, or conscience as it is sometimes called, are the evidence with which his Creator has furnished him .... The moral duties which exist between individual and individual in a state of nature, accompany them into a state of society. their Maker not having released them from those duties on their forming themselves into a nation."

Further Sir William Blackstone stated:

Man ... must necessarily be subject to the laws of his Creator. This will of his Maker is called the law of nature.... This law of nature...is of course superior to any other.... No human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this: and such of them as are valid derive all their force...from this original.

These statements seem fairly simple to understand. We have a creator; this creator is called God, and this God has put forward universal laws/rights for all humans to live by. You may ask, what are these laws?

Well, Matthew 22:34-40 tells us “But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law? And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.

Each human being has a moral footprint in their souls that convicts them of these and other basic truths (without this people would dismiss the truth and prefer chaos and evil).

The ten commandments state (Exodus 20:1-21):

And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands[b] of those who love me and keep my commandments. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.”

Nothing in any of these talk about wokeness or how oppression and violence are justified if you do not agree with the other side of the fence (regardless of your political party’s affiliation). We need to respect all people, no matter where they come from, or who they are. They have rights, human rights, and deserve to be heard. This does not include the right to intimidate and bully and kill others. Nor does it include the right to lie, steal, suppress the truth and cheat (for personal gain or benefit). We as Americans need to understand that all our rights are given by the grace of God, and if we lose God’s blessing, then we are no different than countries like China, Russia, North Korea, or Cuba. It is beyond my imagination that the far left wants to live in a Marxist or Socialist regimes such as China, North Korea, Cuba, or even Russia. People in these countries are taught that there is no God, that the government is their God, and that the government (those in power) define what you believe, thus eliminating freedom. Is this what you want? Is this the kind of country we want to live in? Well, to be frank this is unacceptable. I value my freedom of speech, I value my freedom of religion, and I value other people’s right and freedoms within the bounds of the law and the Constitution. I value the market place of ideas, I affirm that there is a God, and we all need to share the gospel, like the apostle Paul did in Acts 17:22-34.

So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription: To the unknown god. What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live-in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for in him we live and move and have our being as even some of your own poets have said, for we are indeed his offspring. Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead. Now when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked. But others said, we will hear you again about this. So, Paul went out from their midst. But some men joined him and believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.

What do you value? What are you standing for? If you continue to be quiet, and do not engage with your friends and neighbors, I am afraid we will wind up just like China, North Korea, Cuba, or Russia. We will live in a place where our rights are defined by those who hold the power, who have no knowledge of God, because they suppress the truth for the love of worldly gain and selfish ambition. We cannot allow the truth to be suppressed. We need to get out of our comfort zones, share the gospel, and share the truth amongst the people of this age. They do not know the truth, but we know that the truth will set them free!

Now, my fellow Christian believers, get out there, and start/be a part of a revival for this nation!!
