The Woke God

Ever wonder why we face so many challenges from the far left and their woke god? This woke god consists of worshiping the modern-day culture based around the far-left ideology. The definition of woke seems to change daily, but here are some definitions:

The U.S. Sun Share the following definitions. According to the Oxford English Dictionary

"woke" is defined as: "Originally: well-informed, up-to-date. Now chiefly: alert to racial

or social discrimination and injustice. The OED states: "By the mid-20th century, woke

had been extended figuratively to refer to being 'aware' or 'well informed' in a political

or cultural sense." The Urban Dictionary adds: "Being woke means being aware…

knowing what’s going on in the community (related to racism and social injustice)." To

summarize: woke means a person is consciously awake. The term is of African American

origin and refers to perceived awareness of issues concerning social and racial justice.

So, it seems that the definition is ever changing and is being defined day-by-day, even-by-event, to meet the needs of the far-left’s woke movement/agenda. But, do not be mistaken, the far-left has created a new god, this new god is the god of cultural awareness (the woke god). The characteristics of this god revolve around encouraging chaos, violence, and intimidation to force compliance and guilt from all those who are fooled by its lies and deceptions. What does this god use to intimidate and harasses all of us with? Well, the LGBTQ movement, critical race theory, racism, gender identity, socialism, defunding the police, and repatriations for past sins, to name a few. These are all insatiable ideologies that many today on the far-left, moderates, and even many conservatives allow into their households and support by word, by action, or just by doing nothing. I would suggest that these ideologies have been around for a long time, and they will never give anyone a sense of peace, or to fulfill the emptiness so many have. Many people’s lives are full of despair since they have abandoned the Christian God, and traded it for this new god of cultural awareness. This emptiness and despair in life, leads to many empty souls fighting for whatever is new, whatever the culture likes, and whatever fits their fancy at the time. But the apostle Paul suggest what is at work in people’s lives (as I have shared several times in this blog).

Romans 1:18-32 (ESV). For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all

ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the

truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to

them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have

been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have

been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not

honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and

their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and

exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds

and animals and creeping things. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their

hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they

exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather

than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to

dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are

contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and

were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with

men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not

see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought

not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness,

malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips,

slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to

parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God's righteous

decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but

give approval to those who practice them.

If the Apostle Paul is so clear, why do so many continue to support the far left and their god of culture awareness? Well, this is hard to answer, but I would suggest that many moderates and conservatives have traded the God of Christianity for the god of cultural awareness. How many of us have worshiped the god of culture awareness? How many of us have allowed this idolatry to cause us to sin, close our eyes, turn our heads, and say, it will be okay, this is not a big deal. Well, look at where it has gotten us. Whenever we exchange the truth for a lie, bad things happen, and bad people see this weakness as a sign to make a full assault on our values, on our way of life. We all need to wake up, just like woke is defined as an awareness of political and culture issues, we as moderates or conservatives need to engage. Sitting at home is no longer an option, the god of culture awareness is taking over, driving chaos in our schools, our homes, dividing families, taking our rights away, tearing up businesses, and allowing the government far more power/control than it needs to do its job. I would suggest that the god of culture awareness wants to destroy the conservative agenda, the moderate agenda, and the Christian agenda. Once these groups are destroyed, no one will be left to stop the madness of control, chaos, power, hypocrisy, and lust. The trenches have been invaded and the enemy is in our house. We are fighting for our souls. If you do not fight, then you will be forced to join, or be eliminated.

The god of culture awareness will never be satisfied until total victory is won. I hope none of you who are reading this are naïve in thinking that the enemy only wants these things, the enemy will never stop. The god of culture awareness will bully, kill, lie, and do whatever it takes to win. Look at the impact the god of culture awareness is having on our major democratic cities and politics today. Violence throughout these cities, murder, theft, intolerance, hypocrisy, greed, and so many more issues. These places are becoming intolerable places to live, due to the fact that they have been given over to the god of culture awareness.

You may ask what can be done? Well, let’s look at Colossians 3:1-17.

Colossians 3:1-17 (ESV). If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that

are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things

that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is

hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will

appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual

immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. On

account of these the wrath of God is coming. In these you too once walked, when you

were living in them. But now you must put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander,

and obscene talk from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put

off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed

in knowledge after the image of its creator. Here there is not Greek and Jew,

circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in

all. Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts,

kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a

complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you

also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in

perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you

were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly,

teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and

spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word

or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father

through him.

This is what we are called to do. Let’s move from the trenches, and advance with the truth and love of Christ. We need to go out into the neighborhood, the school board meetings, engage with the politicians, engage with those who you disagree with, sharing the love of Christ and letting them know where you stand. We MUST no longer allow the god of culture awareness to win any battles. The day has been won by Jesus Christ, so Christians, let’s act like it!!
