A Hot Cup of Tea

As I was making my hot cup of tea this morning, I looked out the window and was blessed by a beautiful morning. The sun was reflecting off the white snow, it was warming up, the ice was melting, and you could see the cold losing its winter bite and becoming overwhelmed by the morning sun and warmth. I dressed up and went outside and was immediately taken in by the brisk clean air and a deep blue sky that could easily compete with the deepest blue that the Pacific Ocean has to offer on a beautiful day. As I was gazing at all God’s wonderful creation a question came to my mind. The question was a conviction about the state of my heart. I looked up at all of God wonderful creation, the clean crispy air, the bright white snow, the blue of the sky, and wondered if my heart toward God was pure as the bright morning sun reflecting off the beautiful white snow? Well, as you can image, the answer came back as no, but the warmth of the sun shared a deep caring for my soul and reminded me of love that only God can share. The deep blue sky was reminiscent of the beauty of the blue ocean teaming with the cleansing power of the Holy Spirit. When I came back inside, I felt a wonderful sense of Gods mercy and Grace, and his forgiveness toward all my sins, and his true love for my soul. God’s love had shone so brightly that is could not be resisted, the warmth and love of Jesus Christ was endless, and the Holy Spirit cleansed my heart white as snow.
